Garage to Gigawatt
Build GPU rigs by hand in a rainy garage, cable them, keep them cool and powered, rent out their compute, and grow into colo cages and your own datacenter.
- Automated tests
- 293 pass · 1 fail · 82 not run
- Code scan

The core loop
Every minute you unbox parts, install them step by step, run cables, watch power and heat, and fix faults before they cost you uptime. All of that keeps your rigs earning from compute providers and client contracts. The goal is to grow from one garage rig to racks of liquid-cooled servers in your own datacenter.

Systems (14)
- Hands-on PC assembly: standoffs, board screws, CPU socket lever, paste syringe, cooler, RAM, angled M.2 press, GPU and risers, PSU, every power connector and fan headers, each with its own first-person hand clip. Assembly mistakes are recorded and cause shorts, failed POST, thermal or memory faults
- Server-authoritative simulations for electricity (circuits, breakers that trip on overload, power strips, UPS, PDUs, 240 V twist-lock), heat (airflow, fan curves, throttling, weather, dust and wear) and the network (link speeds, port LEDs, uplinks, outages)
- Physical rope-sim cables with fixed lengths, routing, ties and RJ45. Messy cabling hurts airflow, repair speed and worker trips
- Faults and a four-stage fire, with extinguishers, detectors, suppression and a fire department that arrives as NPCs
- Economy: one bank ledger with bills, loans, overdraft, repossession, depreciation, warranty and insurance, plus providers paying per GPU-hour or per token, client contracts and a global market with world events, rivals and leaderboards. A scripted balance sim keeps milestones on target
- 5 facilities: garage, workshop, warehouse, colocation hall and your own datacenter. The datacenter is commissioned through regions, design, financing and real-time construction phases
- Server-class work: 42U racks, rails, a server lift, carts, hot-swap PSUs and fans, liquid quick-disconnects, and rack-scale liquid-cooled systems with a CDU and a CRAH
- Desk OS on the in-game monitor with apps: Store (143+ product photos), Used market, Bank, Providers, Fleet dashboard, Markets, News, Jobs and Facilities. A phone gives mail and messages
- Staff: hire from candidates into roles, with shifts, morale, poaching and counter-offers. Workers carry out real work orders as 8 rigged NPCs, with 106 animation clips
- 6 diagnostic tools (flashlight, multimeter, PSU tester, cable tester, duster, label maker) plus a thermal camera that reads the simulated temperatures
- Story engine with Walt as mentor and an in-world tutorial. The garage stage measures 9–12 minutes from tutorial to first earnings
- Offline catch-up (capped and deterministic) with a 'while you were away' report, and progress saved in DataStores
- Full audio and effects: 60+ sets of hands-on sounds, sound driven by the machine simulation, room reverb and occlusion, rain, sparks, smoke and fire flipbooks
- Kiln-made 3D assets with LOD0/1/2, a RealismManager LOD and streaming system, and graphics presets
What's in the package
- Place file, ready to open in Studio
- Full Luau source (415 scripts)
- Map builder scripts
- 148 animations as .rbxmx files
- 6 sound files with credits
- Model sources (9184 .glb meshes), as a second download
- B-roll footage at 1080p60: the trailer (no text, silent) and 42 clips, as a third download
- Re-upload tool for your own account
- Trailer and stills
- Setup guide and asset list
- Test results and a clean-code scan
- Exclusive license
Before you buy
- It's a prototype, not a finished game: the core loop plays and the systems listed work, but polishing, balancing, testing and adding content before you launch is significant work of your own.
- You need Roblox Studio (free) to open it.
- Animations and sounds only play for the account that uploaded them: the included tool re-uploads them to yours (Node.js and an Open Cloud API key, about 10 minutes; SETUP.md walks you through it).
- Automated tests: 293 pass, 1 fail, 82 not run. They show what was checked, not a promise; TESTS.md in the package names each one.
